The Mystic Nights
I designed, developed, and implemented this website as a storefront for my homemade soaps. Due to upkeep and low visitor volume, stock was transitioned to Etsy in 2024.
Nick's Kitchen
Nick's Kitchen was my second recipes website. In 2020, after failing to regularly post content to the site, I decommissioned the site.
Nick's Moving Kitchen
Nick’s Moving Kitchen was a project that I started in early 2012. I was posting recipes that I had created. It had a beautiful layout, but the back end was quite a disaster. In 2016 I decide to recreate the idea with “Nick's Kitchen.”
Pizza By Me
Working with Google Maps and Google Reviews, PizzaBy.Me GeoLocated the user’s device to locate pizza places in the area.
Cornell Construction, LLC
Cornell Construction, LLC’s website was created with mostly static HTML, PHP, Flash, and JavaScript.
MST Software
MST Software served as my experimental software website. I uploaded and advertised small programs that I created using VB.NET. I released updates and my programs would connect to my server to download updates. Mostly HTML and PHP were used, along with JavaScript and Flash.
The Madison Mellophonium Jazz Orchestra
MMJO’s website was created with WordPress. I modified a parent theme to make it flow with their existing logo. There were a great deal of Flash objects, a photo database, video playlists, and contact forms.
eSimsCentral
eSimsCentral was my first large project. I began with “nickm406.tk,” using FreeWebs, to showcase my custom content for The Sims 2. I ended up obtaining a server and installed PHPBB to create “eSimsCentral.” This thriving community allowed other users to upload their own creations, share tips, download other content and participate in the forums. Eventually, PHPBB did not stand strong enough so I migrated the site over to vBulletin. With the final installation of vBulletin, enhancements included advertisements, advanced CSS objects, Flash objects and JavaScript. The most difficult challenge was to create the Upload form for users to customize their post. Unfortunately, I did not ever get a screenshot of this system before taking it down when The Sims 3 was released.
SchoolCenter Connect
My SchoolCenter Connect website was a cloud-based file management system that I used through late middle school and high school. Many of the projects that I created for classes were too large to send via e-mail, so I created user accounts for my teachers and they could go access the project.
